Bill Swartz of Melbourne, Florida and Buffalo Creek, West Virginia, went to meet our Lord on May 5, 2017, in the closeness of his family. Bill was a U. S. Marine Corp veteran, West Virginia Tech football player and graduate, West Virginia State Policeman, retired Law enforcement Officer, avid hunter, fisherman, horseman and outdoors man who loved his family, The Lord and life. He was a devout Christian, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who never hesitated to help a friend in need and never met a stranger. those who had the privilege of knowing Bill, know that he always had a joke or witty remark for them, never made them feel left out and always left them with a smile. Whether it be home in Melbourne, Florida or his farm in West Virginia, Bill always made friends who soon felt part of the family fast. His giving heart, wit, charm and sense of humor was contagious and spread to those around him. He is deeply missed and will continue to be until we all meet again in heaven. Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth Swartz, preceded in death by his first wife Betty Swartz, sons Mike Swartz and wife Yevette, Jeff Swartz and Kelly Swartz and wife Theresa, and his daughter Toni Swartz and her two daughters Jennifer and Kaitlyn and great granddaughter Kinley, as well as his grandson Matthew Swartz his wife Stephanie Swartz and their two sons Caden and Everett Swartz, his granddaughter Kayla Swartz and her son Connor, granddaughter Lydia, and hundreds of other lives he has touched, been a part of, coached and been a father figure to. He loved spending time with his family, hunting and most later in life with his great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure and joy to know and love him. At Bill's request there will be no funeral service and requests condolences and prayers in lieu of flowers.
