Mel went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday October 10, 2018.
He was born in Daytona Beach, FL and grew up in the Cocoa-Rockledge area. He attended Cocoa and Rockledge High School. While growing up he practiced and competed in the martial arts, raced motocross, and loved to surf. He was the owner of a Ceramic Tile Business, along with the inspiration of helping many people with their home improvement projects. Later in his years his open-air passion was to take his airboat to Lake Poinsett, and to the St. John’s River area to hunt for wild game and fish with his buddies.
He is survived by his Father, George M. Green Jr (predeceased), Mother, Brenda L. Bear, and Siblings, Debbie, Jim (Tammy), Vickie (Dawn), Greg, Stacie (Tom), and Georgia (Cameron). Daughter, Jenny Lee (Nick), and Son, Timothy. Nephews, Eric (Morgan), Dustin, James (Alexandria), Thomas, and George. Nieces, Cherish, and Breanna.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at Lone Cabbage Fish Camp 8199 King St, Cocoa, FL 32926 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Mel’s family and friends are welcome to come and share their memorable times.
