Grace Lillian Boushell was born September 11, 1920 in Philadelphia PA to Emel and Marjorie Bibighaus. Grace was one of 4 children.
At an early age Grace gained access, through Jesus Christ, to all the fullness of God.
Grace’s childhood years included adventures in several New Jersey public schools. While attending Paulsboro High School (Paulsboro, NJ), she participated on the hockey and softball teams, loved to ride horses, and in 1938 was voted “Most Winsome” while graduating 3rd in her class. During the tumultuous World War II years Grace learned to fly an airplane. Over the many years of her life, Grace worked as a hair stylist, stenographer, secretary, piano teacher, Avon Lady, legal secretary, and real estate agent. She volunteered as Choir Mother, Pianist at Joe’s Club (Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation) and as a Guardian ad Litem for Children in Brevard County.
Grace was joined in holy matrimony with Vernon Lee Boushell for 66 years (September 6, 1941). To this union Sheryl Lynn (married to James MacLean), Jay Howard (married to Barbara), Lee Warren (married to Sheryl) and Carolyn May (married to Jake Hanselman) were born.
Grace remained a faithful helper to her husband and homemaker for her family, all of whom she sacrificially loved. She sought to take joy in and support their many and varied interests. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening, boating, singing in choirs, and playing the vibraharp, piano and organ. Grace would have you know, however, that it was her passion for knowing God and His Word that superseded, enabled and directed all other loves.
Grace passed into eternity on October 31, 2019 and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon.
She leaves to cherish her memories eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and a myriad of friends.
The funeral services will be at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, Tuesday, November 12. 9:00 viewing, 10:00 service. Following the service the family will take Grace to be buried with her husband at Bushnell, National Cemetery.
