On Easter morning, April 1, 2018, Jane Elizabeth Sindelar passed away peacefully at the age of 62 at St. Francis Hospice in Rockledge, Florida. Born on December 17, 1955, in Rockville, Maryland, Jane was the daughter of Gilbert Ernest and Flora Luella Owen Sindelar. Jane was of the Catholic faith.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother John Gilbert Sindelar and his wife Claudia Bogard; her aunt Connie Owen and cousin Beth Owen Thomas; and by her many friends in Rockledge, Florida, particularly Danny, Russell, and Dodie Hamilton, and Sergeant Ivette Gomez of the Rockledge police department. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Growing up in Rockville, Jane briefly attended Marshall University in West Virginia before making Florida her permanent home. She was widely known for her willingness to help others in need, her love for her birds and cats, and her beautiful stained glass creations. Throughout her life, Jane struggled with mental health challenges and was appreciative of the supportive care of the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program professionals.
