Melvin E. Adair, 84 of Cocoa, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, with his family by his side. He was born on April 28, 1934; to the late Arthur and Eutie Lee Adair in Ringgold, Georgia.
Mel loved to go fishing, and watch NASCAR racing and Tampa Bay Rays baseball games on TV. His passion was cruising to car shows in his 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 and hang out with his antique car enthusiast friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alene, his brother Ron Adair, his sister Shirley Prescott, and sister-in-law Dean Loach. He will be forever remembered and loved by his daughters Cindy Montgomery and Becky Strain (Phil), grandsons Jason Lee (Misty) and Jake Lee (Angela), granddaughter Susan Laursen (Chris), great grandchildren JC, Mackenzie, Lily, Christa, and Kayla, sister-in-Law Mary Adair, and brothers-in-law Gene Loach and Dale Prescott.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 27th at 5:00 PM with a reception following at the First United Methodist Church of Port St John, 1165 Fay Blvd., Cocoa
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Church in his name.
