Regina Cunningham, sister of six, mother of four, grandmother of ten and great grandmother to one, after a long and courageous fight, passed quietly on December 29th 2019.
A resident of Merritt Island, Regina was born in the Bronx, NYC on December 7th, 1941 (yep a day that lived in infamy) to Rose Carr, née Campbell and James Carr. Regina married John Cunningham on June 8th 1960 and had four children, John, Debra, James and Sean. Her husband John passed in September 1969 leaving Regina to raise her four children on her own. Regina's grandchildren are Shaun, Samantha, Katlyn, Jake, Ashley, John Jr, Kelly, Zoe, Meaghan and Jax. Her one and only great grandchild Emerson. All six of Regina's siblings, Pat, Jim, Bernard, Karen, Dennis and Thomas are surviving.
Regina enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. In her last remaining years, she made an effort to not allow her age to keep her from enjoying life to its fullest, traveling the world with her brother Jim, also a Merritt Island resident. Her “spirit” will be missed.
There will be a service on January 18th. 2020 at 12:00 p.m., at St Francis Church, Ridgefield Park NJ 07675
